"I am writing to express my appreciation for the professionalism, knowledge and customer centric approach when working with Old School Knife Works.

Joe Culpepper and his entire staff were nothing less than outstanding to work with. I had a collection of knives I was selling on behalf of a widow. I was apprehensive being from Upstate NY and dealing at a great distance but Joe was patient having fielded several phone calls and walking me through the sales process. Joe providing a fair and transparent quote that resulted in finalizing the sale.

Without reservation I highly recommend this company whether purchasing or selling a knife or collection of knives. "

Joe Culpepper and Old School Knife Works (OSKW) marketed and sold by vintage Robeson Cutlery collection, known as the “New York Collection” in their listings. The collection consisted of over 380 items, mainly pocket knives, that were on consignment for four years. Joe and I worked together to initially price each of the knives based on Joe’s collector market experience and what I initially paid for each of them. Joe then proceeded to display all the knives at the OSKW store and also advertised on the OSKW web site and eBay. The store, centrally located in knife country, provided a "show and handle me” opportunity important went considering purchase of high valued knives. Joe was always a stickler for getting the highest price he could for each of the knives even if he had to lose a sale at the time. We consulted quarterly on whether price discounts were warranted. Joe definitely knew his customers. I received a monthly report that showed each knife sold and what the selling price was, minus commission. OSKW never missed a beat in four years sending the check to go along with the report.

At the end of the four years and close out of the collection, we had met my original goal of what I expected dollar wise. I attribute this to being able to track progress monthly and to adapt to changing economic times, markets, and interests.

OSKW is a professional organization that, besides providing a venue, produced A+ results that a quality knife collection deserves.

I just wanted to give them a shout out on their quality of knives and their attention to detail of getting the product to you in a timely manner. If you get a chance to join them on their auction you won't be disappointed.

"I went in store to sell my Vintage KaBar knife, the process was pretty painless to say the least. I felt that the price offered to me was very fair.  Would definitely recommend selling to  OSKW."

John Tastinger, NC

"I sold Old School a vintage Nazi Dagger, and Kristi made the process quite seamless. I sent  a few pictures, and she sent me an offer, I accepted and they sent my money. Hoping to sell more in the future.

"I've been dealing with the Culpepper's for several years now, being in the knifemaking industry. Great people! Have sold them several of my custom slipjoints in the past. Highly professional all the way around."
